Iridomyrmex Iridomyrmex is a diverse group of Indo-Australian dolichoderine
ants. These alert, aggressive ants can be abundant, particularly
in open habitats, and play ecologially important roles as predators, scavengers,
and symbionts of honeydew-producing insects.
