Acromyrmex (leaf-cutter ants)

Acromyrmex are leaf-cutting ants, and like the other the fungus-growing ants they are found in the new world tropics and subtropics. Acromyrmex are the more diverse of the two leaf-cutter genera (the other genus is Atta).
