As so many of you guessed, last night’s odd pair out was #2, the pea aphid with a bacterial symbiont more commonly known from whitefly.
Guillaume D was there first, for eight points. I’ll also give two points to Julie Stalhut for getting to the correct symbiont identity first, and to Pedro Rodrigues for providing context for this erroneous pairing. I was being slightly devious. Arsenophonus is recorded from an aphid, but not this particular one.
At the end of the month, though, no one has been able to top Joel Kits’ astounding 18 points. Joel- contact me for your loot!
