  1. If it’s not a polyxenid millipede (Diplopoda, Polyxenida), then it should be, and the hairs should come off and gum-up ant mouthparts when they try to mutilate the poor, well defended creature. Of course, you just came back from Brazil where Probolomyrmex ants are supposed to easily make a meal of them.
