Thrifty Thursday: Lettuce Aphid

Thrifty Thursdays feature photographs taken with equipment costing less than $500.

A major challenge with digicam photography is the backdrop. The wide angle and profound depth of field render digicam compositions cluttered and overly busy. Restricting the background to a single color or texture- in this case the underside of a lettuce leaf- avoids the clutter and makes for a more pleasing photograph.

  1. I really like Thrifty Thursday and I hope you keep it up – even if it tends to make me less satisfied with my pictures, it does provide hope for better ones.

My DMZ-FZ28 cost just over five hundred, but that was in the old Canadian dollars before they became so robust, so probably still under your limit.
