This behind-the-scenes BBC video has all my favorite things. Charismatic insects, face time with a knowledgeable scientist, narration by David Attenborough, and spectacular cinematography. And, a crossbow. I think I enjoyed it more than the actual film.

I found I enjoyed the “Making Of” portions of Planet Earth more than the actual documentaries (although I thoroughly enjoyed those as well). The creative solutions that the filmmakers come up with are fantastic and the main reason why these BBC series’ are untouched by all nature documentaries!
The final result was well worth the effort!
