This Sunday at 2pm I will be giving a public presentation titled Beekeeping in Paraguay, based on my experience doing just that as a Peace Corps volunteer in the mid 1990s.
The details:
Beekeeping in Paraguay
a presentation by U of I entomologist Alex Wild
Sunday August 15 at 2:00
at the University of Illinois’ Pollinatarium
The talk is part of the Pollinatarium’s summer lecture series. The venue is, I should add, the world’s first and only pollinatarium. So even if you have no desire to listen to me droning on about bees and peace corps the visit will be worth your time.
Are these Africanized bees? Interesting that your lower arms are exposed. That’s a nice brood pattern, btw.
The aggressiveness of Africanized bees is over-hyped, in my opinion.
I’m sure it would be fun, but I’ll be off in Florida that day.
Hmm, I wonder why they didn’t call it the pollinatorium?
“Droning on”? Really?
I worked for hours on that pun, and that’s all you can say?
