$1 = Myrmica – maybe fracticornis?
#4 = Tapinoma sessile?

#1 Myrmica fracticornis
#2 Tetramorium caespitum
#3 Lasius alienus
#4 Tapinoma sessile
#5 Myrmecina americana
#6 Cannot make up my mind.
#1 Myrmica, but not fracticornis (possibly punctiventris)
#2 Tetramorium species E
#6 Pheidole pilifera (minor worker)

Wow, great site. I am identifying my ants in my backyard. So far I have identified Formica Fusca. Hopefully I am right with my identification. Is color just as important as morphology with the different Formicas.
