Myrmecologist Benoit Guenard took Best in Show for his “Magic Circle” macro of a stingless bee nest. Deservedly, in my opinion. That’s an awesome shot.

That is a great shot. Looks like four of Elijah Meck’s photos had won.
Not to detract from the beauty in any way, but I didn’t realize they were stingless bees at first…a detail that could add to the emotion of the shot if it weren’t explicit.
