Happy Mother’s Day!

Rose Aphids – Macrosiphum rosae
Tucson, Arizona

It’s fair to say that without the encouragement of my mother, who allowed all manner of newts, snakes, caterpillars, tadpoles and ants into the house, I would not have gone on to become a biologist.

Thanks Mom, and happy mother’s day!

  1. Here, here! Don’t forget your mother’s famous Science Club!

    Happy Mother’s Day, Mrs. Wild!

    Regards,
    Steve

  2. Would this be the same Steve that used to hang out with Alex (at age 8?) reading insect guides for fun, and who once on a ride back from our place on the hill slipped a live garter snake through the hole in his pantleg, a snake which was never seen again? I hope it’s you! XXXMrs.W.
